When the client initially approached us, they requested a simple, low-fidelity character animated video. However, after our initial meeting, we realized that this approach would not adequately convey the historical significance of the subject matter. To ensure the project received the respect it deserved, we collaborated with We Are Believe, a creative agency based in the North, to design and produce a proof of concept that authentically reflected the historical periods.
In our efforts to honor Mary Seacole, we created a 3D scan of a small-scale replica of her statue. This replica served as the original reference for the statue that now stands on the grounds of St Thomas’ Hospital in Lambeth, London, sculpted by Martin Jennings.
